airconditioning/heating instructions
All rooms are equipped with airconditioning/heating unit. To take the temperature down in your room, please push the snowflake icon, click iFeel and adjust temperature to your liking. To heat up your room please push the sun icon, click iFeel and adjust temperature to your liking.
ATM
In front of our hotel (across the street) you will find the ING Bank with a cash dispenser.
Bathroom Products
The Duke likes his environment as much as any other human being. Together we can make a difference:
- A towel hanging up means: ‘’I will re-use my towel’’
- A towel on the floor means: ‘’Please exchange’’.
If you require extra towels, please call our receptions desk (dial 800 with the hotel telephone) before 10 PM.
Our cosmetics are made from high standard quality and natural ingredients, free from harmful substances as parabens.
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and shaving equipment are available at the reception desk.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in our living room/ Lobby.
From Monday to Friday breakfast is served from 7 AM to 11 AM.
On weekends breakfast starts at 8 AM to 12 AM.
If you prefer to have breakfast in your room, please let us know the day before (till 10 PM) at our reception on the 2nd floor. If you’re not in the opportunity to visit our reception, you can call with your hotel telephone (dial 800) or send an e-mail to bemyguest@thedukehotel.nl. So we can take your order. Normally we offer breakfast in your room from 10am. If you would like to receive this earlier, you can request this at the reception. We just can’t make any promises as it is always quite busy in the morning.
If you are a business traveler, or if you would like to leave quick and early, we also provide ‘’Grab and go’’ breakfast. Please let us know your preferences the day before (till 10 PM) at the reception desk. You can call with your hotel telephone (dial 800) or send an e-mail to bemyguest@thedukehotel.nl so we can take your order. You can think of a piece of fruit, a sandwich and possibly coffee / tea to go.
Changing money
It is not possible to change money at your reception desk. We are a cash free hotel. You can change money at the GWK Office, located at s- Hertogenbosch Central Station, in walking distance from the hotel.
Charger
We have at our reception several chargers for different brands of mobile telephones and tablets.
Coffee & Tea
In the lobby and hotel rooms, you will find NUMI organic tea and Illy Coffee.
Our espresso machines use special cups from Illy Caffé, the Italian high quality coffee. The use of Illy facilities are complimentary.
How to use?
– Fill the blue container with water;
– Press the on-button (left);
– Wait for the machine to heat up (sound);
– Insert the cup in the piston;
– Rotate the piston firmly in place;
– Press the middle button;
– Enjoy!
No coffee coming out? Try to flow the machine without container.
If you’d like to have more coffee or tea in your room please dial 200 from your room and we’ll be happy to deliver you some more coffee cups and tea.

Drinking water
The water from our taps is drinkable. Your minibar contains bottles of mineral water (Marie-Stella- Maris and mineral sparkling water).
Dry cleaning and Laundry
You can hand in your laundry at the reception, before 08:00 AM on working days. We promise to return your clothes the next morning (exception; Sundays)

The elevator stops at every floor.
2nd floor: Reception The Duke, Living Room, Breakfast and the gym.
3rd floor: Room 1-17
In event of a fire do not use the elevator!
Equipment in the room
Each room contains a Marshall Bluetooth speaker, a minibar, a LED TV, Espresso machine, Steamer and hairdryer (in the black bag). Please see the product manuals at the beginning from this map.
Fire alarm
The hotel is equipped with a fire alarm system, smoke detectors and sirens. In case of a fire, the alarm will go off. What to do in the event of a fire:
- Please remain calm. Do not, under any circumstances, remain in the room;
- There is an escape way on each floor indicated by signs;
- The fire escape is situated at the back of the premises. You will find emergency exit in the corridor near room 10;
- When the fire alarm goes off, you should immediately leave your room and follow the green lit up escape route indicators;
- You will be guided to the nearest stairwell;
- Under no circumstances should you use the elevator;
- Follow up instructions from our Hotel staff;
- In the event of fire, you are not allowed to use the elevator.
First Aid
In case of medical problems please call the reception desk (dial 800). Using your mobile phone call: +31 (0)73 36 90 33 2. In case of an emergency call the alarm number: 112, then proceed to notify the reception desk.
Ironing board
We have an iron and ironing board. If you need these during your stay, ask for availability at the reception.
Keycard
The keycard to your room also gives access to the hotel. Improper use will be reported to the police.
The keycard remains property of The Duke Boutique Hotel.
We urgently request you to take your keycard with you when you go out and expect to return to the hotel after 10PM.
Living/Breakfast area
In our living room our breakfast is served between 07.00AM and 11AM from Monday to Friday
In the weekend, breakfast starts at 8AM till 12AM.
Our breakfast consists of typical “Dutch” items, healthy choices and freshly fried/boiled/scrambled eggs. Our breakfast products are mostly organic from local suppliers with their roots back in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Noord-Brabant or at least the Netherlands.
Lost and found
Objects found in our hotel rooms will be deposited at the reception desk.
Luggage service
At the reception desk you can apply for your luggage to be collected and delivered. At your request we can also store your luggage. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage.
If we receive any mail addressed to you, we will deliver it to your room as soon as possible. Otherwise, you can always pick up your mail at the reception during reception hours. If you hand in your out-going mail at the reception desk, we will send it for you. Postages charges, if any, are for the guest’s account.
Maintenance of the rooms
If you encounter a defect in your room or suite, we kindly request you to report this to the receptionist. So that we can remedy as soon as possible.
Minibar
All products at The Duke’s minibar are carefully selected and organic. If you require to have extra, please dial 800 (before 10PM) and the receptionist will bring it to your room.
We kindly request to make mention of products taken from the minibar when you check-out. If you forget this, the hotel will be entitled to debit your credit card with the price of the minibar products.

Newspapers
Several newspapers are available at the living and lobby of the hotel. You will also find some magazines, which you can take to your room. Please be so kind to return the papers and magazines. So, our other guests can make use of them too.
Parking
Unfortunately, the hotel does not have a private parking. You can park your car anywhere in the city center. We recommend the following parkinglots– De Wolvenhoek (Wolvenhoek 12 for navigation) and the St. Jan parkeergarage (Hekellaan 25 for navigation). You will have 24 hour access and a maximum daily rate of EUR 20,-.
Pets
Up on request, we allow (small) dogs in the hotel for a pet fee of EUR 35,-. Please make sure that your pet is not a nuisance to other guests of The Duke Boutique Hotel. Taking your pet to the hotel is your own responsibility. Together with other conditions at your registration form with the check-in, you agree that we are allowed to charge any costs for cleaning or damage to the room. This also concerns pets.
Pharmacy
A pharmacy- Apotheek Albers- is situated at the square market (Markt 35), a 3-minute walk from the hotel. If you leave the hotel, turn left and walk to the big square, turn directly to the right and you will find the pharmacy.
Remote Controls
You will find the remote control at the desk in your room. If you need any help with your SMART-TV, please ask our reception desk (dial 800).
Restaurant
Our hotel does not serve dinner. But we work together with several restaurants in the area, where we can book a table for you.

Room service
The Duke Hotel offers room service from 6PM till 9PM. We are working with one of the restaurants in the fabulous Korte Putstraat– Zoetelief. Ask your receptionist about their menu!
Safe
All our rooms have a safe where you can keep your valuables.
Security
Our corridors are guarded by cameras. The recorded tapes may in special circumstances be available to the authorities. The doors of the hotel rooms and front door of the hotel lock automatically. Improper use of the keycard will be reported to the locale police department. The area surrounding the hotel are guarded by a security firm. If you notice anything suspicious after 10PM in-or in front of the hotel, please call the hotel phone number that is presented on your keycard. You will be redirected to our reception or our security team. In case of an emergency please call 112 and inform the reception desk.
Shopping
‘s-Hertogenbosch is a good place to go shopping. We recommend you the streets with fashion boutiques, creative stores and delicacy stores like Verwerstraat, Snellestraat, Kruisstraat and Vughterstraat. Also, our central market has great stores as well as our Kerkstraat.
Sightseeing
St. John Cathedral
A visit to the St. John Cathedral is one of the highlights of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Book a guided tour or choose to climb the tower.

“Bossche Broek”
Rent a bike or go jogging/walking in this beautiful and peaceful nature reserve that is located just next to our city centre. At the reception we can show you a splendid route for your walking, running or jogging activities. A round across the “Bossche Broek” measures approximately 5 kilometers or more. Entrance: Sterrebosweg, ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

Taxi
If you require a taxi, please notify the reception desk. We will give you a call when your taxi arrives.
Tip for your return journey: Our reception desk can provide you with a card showing the telephone number of the taxi company.

The telephone in your room cannot be used for external calls.
Theatre bookings
If required, the reception desk can book theatre tickets for you. The nearest theatre is “Theater aan de Parade”. This theatre is within walking distance of the hotel.
'True health members club' gym
On the second floor there is a modern fitness space called True Health Members Club. This Gym is highly equipped with state of the art Milon Circle & Technogym material. If you’d like to use the gym please make a reservation at our reception desk. You’ll get a voucher to enter the gym.
Turn down service
At your request we provide turn down service, meaning that your bed covers are turned down, the curtains will be closed and the lights in your room will be switched on. If you have further wishes, in this respects, please inform the reception desk.
Visitors
It is not allowed to receive unannounced visitors in your room.
